Preview guide

The goal of an opening check is not paperwork. It is to find the small problems that become a line of waiting contractors at 7:35.

Equipment readiness

  • Wake the dispenser and confirm the scheduled purge or nozzle routine completed.
  • Check colorant levels and inspect the nozzle area for buildup.
  • Run a quick shaker safety and clamp check.
  • Confirm the spectrophotometer and label printer are online.

Order readiness

Scan overnight orders, promised pickups, special products, and anything waiting on a customer decision. Put exceptions where the opening team can see them.

Counter readiness

Restock labels, stir sticks, openers, strainers, and common bases. Clear yesterday’s mystery cans. A clean first hour is usually built the night before, but the opening check catches what slipped.
